GRID launches on Xbox One – Windows Central
GRID is a racing game developed and published by UK studio Codemasters. While not quite a sim racer, it has a unique feel that fans of past Codemasters titles will appreciate. The physics have been improved compared to older GRID games, with a new damage system designed around impact. There’s also new driver AI that will get far more aggressive if provoked on the track. The game features twelve different racing locations, with six different racing types and a race creator.
GRID has launched worldwide and is now available on Xbox One. You can grab it for $60 from Amazon. For another look at the game, you can check out the launch trailer here for a look at the different cars you’ll be racing and the tracks you’ll be racing them on.
Richard Devine reviewed the game for us on Windows Central, writing that “GRID is back, and it’s more than just nostalgia, with everything good about the old games brought up to snuff for 2019 with incredible AI and excellent physics.” He also stated that “GRID is a nostalgia trip for folks like myself, but it doesn’t rely on fond memories to be good. Every aspect of the game has been meticulously crafted with the utmost attention to detail, and we’re left with something truly spectacular.”
