Doom Eternal runs at 60 FPS even on the base Xbox One – Windows Central
Doom Eternal is an upcoming first-person shooter that continues the story of the reboot. It looks absolutely spectacular on Xbox One X and should provide plenty of single-player and multiplayer enjoyment. In addition to Xbox One, Doom Eternal should be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. It was also announced for Google Stadia a few months ago.
Since Doom Eternal is a fast-paced action game, it benefits from a higher frame rate. Many gamers were curious as to what frame rate it would run at on base consoles. Luckily, Billy Khan, Lead Engine Programmer at id Software, provided the answer. The game runs at 60 frames per second (FPS) on base Xbox One.
PS4, PS4 PRO, XB1, XB1S and XB1X all run at 60FPS.

It’s unclear what the frame rate will be on Nintendo Switch, but I’m willing to bet that it’s probably 30 FPS like the original Doom on the portable console. Google Stadia is also a mystery because it may run at 60 FPS at 1080p, but if the resolution is cranked up to 4K, it may lock the frame rate to 30 FPS. A lot of games already have this issue on the cloud streaming platform.
