Games with Gold November 2019: Great Xbox Live news before Xbox One free games reveal – Express
The new Games with Gold November 2019 lineup is set to be announced this week by Microsoft.
The tech giant will be launching its latest collection of free Xbox One games at the end of the week, meaning an announcement is imminent.
Two Xbox One and Xbox 360 games will be revealed in the coming days which will be available to all Xbox Live subscribers to download during November 2019.
And while fans still don’t know what will be part of the lineup, they’ll be hoping for some top titles to enjoy.
Microsoft has been mixing it up when it comes to Games with Gold genres in 2019, with plenty of indie titles to choose from.
And so far there have been no telltale leaks to help us guess what might be coming next to Xbox One.
And even though we know the news will be shared in the coming days, it’s hard to pinpoint when exactly Microsoft will reveal the new Games with Gold lineup.
Announcements have been made closer to the end of the month during 2019, and there’s no reason to think this will stop now.
As a rough estimate, October 28 or 29 sound like good bets, but gamers could be finding out the news at any time.
October’s free game, Tembo the Badass Elephant, will be replaced first on Friday, November 1.
This will be followed by another game replacing Friday the 13th on November 16, alongside an additional Xbox 360 title.
And while this month’s Games with Gold didn’t feature many games fans would consider AAA, it did offer some much-needed variety.
Gold subscribers sometimes prefer to pick up titles they have never played before, rather than the biggest hits.
Looking back at November 2018, Microsoft provided some top titles, including Battlefield 1.
Fans can also check out some of the new games being released on Xbox One to help fill the wait time.
While last week saw a flurry of big titles arrive, including Call of Duty Modern Warfare and The Outer Worlds, this week sees more indie games.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD will be released on Tuesday, October 29, bringing a classic franchise to Xbox One.
“Hold onto your bananas, because Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is rolling your way,” the official game description reads.
“Experience the magic of one of the most beloved titles in the series, now remastered in HD!
“Take back your bananas from the space alien pirate king, Captain Crabuchin and race through over 100 colourful stages and challenge your friends and family to 10 fan-favourite party games.”
And for fans looking for a new free game experience, NBA 2K20 will make a good choice. Xbox Live gamers can download the title for free today and will remain available until the early hours of Monday morning, October 28.
It should also be noted that the NBA 2K20 Demo has also been revamped and includes new content. It initially launched before the full game was released and included a limited scope of gameplay.
This has now been updated to include a pick-up-and-play Quick Game matchup of the Toronto Raptors vs Golden State Warriors.
This is to celebrate the start of the new NBA season with a rerun of the 2019 finals.
“Whether you’re new to NBA 2K or a seasoned veteran, all you need to know to try the demo are a few basic controls,” a message from 2K explains.
“To move your player, use the left joystick. To jump for rebounds or blocks, press Y on Xbox or Triangle on PS4. On offence, shoot with X or Square, and pass with A or X.”
Other free game choices include Apex Legend, Fortnite, as well as the more recent Destiny 2: New Light and Vigor launches.
