Take A Look At Taco Bell’s Sweet New Limited Edition Xbox One X Bundle – Forbes
Well kids, it’s that special season again. You know, the time of year when you need to eat a whole bunch of cheap tacos so that you can win a sweet, ultra-rare, super-powered Microsoft gaming system.
Starting today, October 17, and running through November 23, you’ll be able to purchase a Double Chalupa box at Taco Bell and try your hand at winning 2019’s Xbox One X Limited Edition bundle.
Similar to last year’s event, each prize package contains a 1TB Xbox One X variant (this one is dubbed ‘Eclipse’) as well as an Elite Wireless Controller, which just so happens to be the yet-to-be-released and much improved Series 2 model.
If you win, you’ll also get 6 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as well as PowerA’s convenient vertical stand for propping up your shiny, factory-fresh console.
Additionally, if you order your Double Chalupa box online via the Taco Bell app or website ta.co (brilliant domain, by the way), you’ll receive a free code for 2 weeks of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. So hey, even if you don’t score one of these bundles, you’ll at least get to download a whole bunch of excellent titles as consolation.
I unboxed Taco Bell’s amazing Xbox One X bundle last year and it’s cool to see that they’re doing this promotion again. Honestly, I’m a little more partial to 2018’s ‘Platinum’ color scheme, but this new ‘Eclipse’ edition definitely has its own flair. Plus, like the previous variant, this “silver-to-black fade” version emits the Taco Bell ring sound. Pavlov would be proud.
The big highlight of this ‘Eclipse’ bundle is the Series 2 Elite controller, which should hit store shelves around November 4. Having used it for a couple of days now, I can truthfully say that it’s a serious improvement over the original. I’ll have a more in-depth hardware review article published soon.
So until the chalupa gods bestow a limited edition console upon you, check out these photos of what’s included in the prize box. And on a side note, this contest is making me wonder what Taco Bell and Microsoft are planning, at least promotion-wise, for Project Scarlett. We’ll have to wait until Holiday 2020 and see. Guess I’ll have to just keep scarfing down nachos and quesadillas in the meantime.
